Toshiba IT-Services is a management service provider that supports the systems underpinning society, the systems sustaining people's daily lives, and the entire life cycles of those systems through logical and heartfelt services. We provide total management of services from system installation and implementation to operations and maintenance.

Platform integration (PI) services

Design and implementation of platforms, taking account of scalability and operability after installation as well as system life cycle stages

The PI services include the optimal selection, procurement and integration of products from multiple vendors to design and implement IT platforms, taking account of increasing diversity and complexity of customer needs and system environments. The PI services take the entire system life cycle into consideration.

  • Equipment selection and procurement service: We use a wide range of knowledge and the latest technologies to select and procure products so that the equipment meets the diverse needs of each customer.
  • Design service: We create system designs that consider the life cycle of IT, IoT and other systems to prevent scalability, operability and security from becoming an issue after installation.
  • Implementation service: We implement platforms based on designs that incorporate considerations for scalability, operability and security.

Kitting and device management (KDM) service

Comprehensive life cycle management of customers' IT and IoT assets, including servers, smart devices and mechanical equipment

The KDM services provide comprehensive life-cycle support for the IT and IoT assets that comprise our customers' IT systems, including computers, terminals and mechanical equipment, in order to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) and improve efficiency. This includes pre-installation setup and kitting, simultaneous nationwide deployment, comprehensive asset management, and delivery of replacement parts in the event of a failure.

  • Kitting service: We can use the same or different settings for individual devices ranging from servers to mechanical equipment. Kitting is performed in a secure environment.
  • Deployment service: By leveraging our extensive expertise and our nationwide service network, we provide comprehensive management to achieve efficient and simultaneous nationwide deployment in the shortest possible timeframes.
  • Asset management service: We provide total life cycle management for our customers' IT assets in a secure environment. This service includes preparation of replacement parts in the event of a failure, delivery of pre-set devices, repairs, and disposal.

Ancillary services

Simultaneous execution of work ancillary to the installation of IT and IoT systems

We perform all ancillary work that is required for the installation of IT and IoT systems, including server room design, construction and electrical work, as well as the installation of circuit breaker panels, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and LAN networks (e.g., optical and wireless LAN networks). Our ancillary services also include consultation with and design by first-class registered architects and on-site supervision up to completion.

Remote management services

24/7 system monitoring and remote operations to ensure stable operations and smooth troubleshooting in cooperation with service desks

Our remote operations centers monitor customers' systems to ensure stability and perform contracted periodic remote operations. The remote operations centers are staffed 24/7. In the event of a failure or any change in system situations, we respond quickly through remote operations under the contract with the customer. If any sign of a failure is detected by a remote operations center, the center works in tandem with a service crew to prevent down-time.
We also value open and clear communication with customers and end users from their point of view. When they have any question about responses from or manipulations on the systems, our focus is on ensuring smooth problem solving. Support is available in Japanese, Chinese and English.

  • Remote management service: We provide 24/7 support for the operations of IT and IoT systems, including centralized monitoring, fault detection, and failure sign detection.
  • Service desk: Drawing on advanced knowledge and IT technology, our service desks offer real-time support from the customers' perspective.

Maintenance services

24/7 total support provided by engineers at service centers across Japan

Our engineers are prepared to quickly solve customers' problems. They possess extensive knowledge and expertise on the maintenance of various types of equipment, ranging from the plat forms (OS, middleware and hardware) of multi-vendor IT systems, application software, and IoT hardware—as well as cash deposit machines, currency exchange machines, solar photovoltaic power generation systems, medical equipment, and other mechanical systems.
